In the  old, old days, before the coming of the Spaniards in the Philippines, a certain Barangay which is located a quite far from the seashore, had no define name. Among the people who are in that place was a very lady named ”ISA” . Somewhere in the 15th to 16th centuries, the Spaniards landed in the Philippines, one of them was the little island where ISA lived. One time, the group of Spaniards visited in that place where ISA was residing. Fortunately, they met the white lady and asked her, what was the name of that place? Since ISA can’t understand Spanish language, she was expecting that the Spaniards were asking her name, so she answered ISA. The word was not pleasing to the ears of the Spaniards, so they change it to “CANG-ISAD ” from the time Cang-isad got its name.
